How To Get Here The Hitching Post Wedding Chapel is located in North Idaho in Coeur d'Alene, just 30 miles east of Spokane, Washington. Coeur d'Alene, Idaho has all the beauty of the mountains, trees and the beautiful Coeur d'Alene Lake. From Spokane: Take I-90 from Spokane to Idaho exit #11. Turn right on Northwest Blvd. Proceed to Garden Ave about 1 3/4 miles and turn left. Go one (1) block and the Hitching Post will be in front of you and the courthouse on the right.
Take I-90 to Exit 15 Sherman Ave. Follow Sherman Ave. through town. It will make a bend and change names to Northwest Blvd. Turn right on Government Way, which makes a bend and you'll see the Hitching Post in front of you and the courthouse on the right. From Southern Idaho: Take Hwy 95 north to Coeur d'Alene. Turn right immediately after you cross the river on to Northwest Blvd. Travel South to Garden Ave. about 3/4 miles turn left and go one (1) block. You see the Hitching Post in front of you and the courthouse on the right. From Canada: Take Hwy 95 south to Coeur d'Alene. Cross the freeway (I-90) and turn left on Ironwood. Turn Right on Government Way and proceed south to 524 Government Way. The Hitching Post will be on the left and the courthouse on the right. Weddings are done by ministers at The Hitching Post 6 days a week in the chapel and surrounding areas, the lakeside, boardwalk, local parks, ski resorts and various other places of ones choosing. The Hitching Post is close to the Coeur d'Alene Park and beach as well as several golf courses. There is hiking on Tubbs Hill, swimming, parasailing, or a romantic walk on the boardwalk. There are many Campgrounds, Restaurants, Hotels, Motels, Bed and Breakfasts in the area. Silverwood entertainment park is just 15 miles north for a day of summer fun. Plus there is fishing on the lake, jogging on the Centennial Trail, several local ski resorts, eagle watching, boat tours and the July amish Pow Wow to name a few.
