About The Hitching Post The Hitching Post Wedding Chapel has been part of the North Idaho, Northwest and Coeur d'Alene experience for over 80 years. Thousands of couples have come to the Hitching Post to be married, renew their vows and get started on their lives together as husband and wife from all over the United States and the World.
Justice of the Peace officers were at one time doing weddings here until the position was
eliminated. Now ministers do all of the weddings at Hitching Post.We recently had a couple tell us that they are the 4th generation in the family to be married at the Hitching Post. Many have made the Hitching Post a tradition in their family. The Hitching Post has been featured in "Country Weekly", Feb., 1998 a Country Music and Entertainment Magazine, "The Inlander" Magazine, plus many newspaper articles over the years. We belong to the Coeur d'Alene Chamber of Commerce plus the Coeur d'Alene and Post Falls Convention and Visitor's Bureau.
